Terri Clark is Montreal-born but was raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Her grandparents were musicians and provided inspiration for Terri.
Until the age of 13, she was interested more in rock music.
Terri's mother help expose her to country music.
Clark left for Nashville shortly after finishing high school.
She worked in Nashville for several years before gaining a record contract with Mercury records.
She can play several music instruments including the clarinet and drums.
Terri Clark is a past host of the Canadian Country Music Awards show.
She turned down a request to be on the cover of Playboy magazine in consideration of her young fans.
Terri's book, "Diary, Phases and Stages" was recently published in the US.
She is very proud of her nomination for CMA female vocalist of the year.
Terri Clark has achieved one of country music's highest honours by becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
