Diana Krall took an interest in music from the age of four.
Krall's family was very supportive of her musical endeavours.
In 1981, she won a scholarship to study at Boston's Berklee College of Music.
Another musician, Ray Brown, became a mentor in Krall's career.

Krall has studied the vocal efforts of both Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett; the latter she has expressed gratitude for the personal help he has given her.
In 2003, she was married in London to noted pop performer Elvis Costello.
Over her career, Krall has captured several Juno awards including the Best Vocal Jazz Album.
Diana has worked to raise funds to help in the fight against cancer in memory of her mother.
