Law officials not only enforce laws but must also help provide for the
research and input into making new laws. In doing so, they expose themselves to criticism publicly but stay the course to
bring about laws for the benefit of both our Canadian and global societies. Lawyers, judges, police, and court officials meet
with the satisfaction of knowing their work will ultimately improve society as long as laws are just and fair to
everyone in the community.
Law officers must keep the big picture in mind when they are influencing the enforcement or the making of new laws. Democratic societies
such as Canada must feel a sense of confidence that laws are being used solely for their protection and not meant to favour any particular
element in the nation.
