• Catriona Le May Doan is sometimes called The Fastest Woman in the World.

• Over the years, she has made or broken no fewer than ten world records for her sport.

• Le May Doan became a 2001 inductee into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame.

• In 2002, Catriona Le May Doanwas named Canada's Athlete of the Year and received an honorary degree from the University of Calgary.

• She has been named Canada's Female Athlete of the Year on at least three occasions.
