Alanis Morissette, supported by her parents, sang and wrote songs prior to her teen age years.
She became a member of a children's television series "You Can't Do That on Television."
At only ten years old, she recorded her first original independent song.
Morissette recorded for MCA and released her first Juno winning album 'Alanis" in 1991.
In 1995, Alanis Morissette released the famous "Jagged Little Pill" album which sold over 15 million copies.
Her lyrics and interpretational style earned Morissette the status of an international star.
The song "You Otta Know" is listed as one of the top songs of the past 25 years.
She has won or been nominated for several Juno awards and Grammys.
Hosting the 2004 Juno show, she appeared in a skin-colored body suit to protest censorship.
Alanis Morisette has become an experienced and respected singer/song writer.
