Lara St.John began playing the violin at the age of two and first played with an orchestra at five.
Throughout her teens, she had the full support of her parents in fostering a music career.
After graduating from the Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia, she traveled in Europe and furthered her training in Moscow.
Competition in the music world is fierce and, at times, St.John has made effective use of her beauty to attract attention.
At a rehearsal in 2001, she accidentally drank hydrogen peroxide from a water bottle; an incident which came very close to ending her life.
She is a very successful concert violinist and performs with zeal to the delight of her audience.
In 2002 she signed a new contract with Sony Classical and will record both classical and innovative music.
St. John is now residing in New York and, barring any unfortunates, she will be a star in this and the decades ahead.
