George Alexander Trebek

Major Notes:
Alex Trebek graduated from the University of Ottawa where he majored in Philosophy.
After graduating, he joined the CBC as an announcer for news and special events.
In 1966, Trebek was made game host of the Canadian show Reach for the Top.
His work on a game show called the Wizard of Odds brought him to the attention of the American public.
He is associated with a number of causes and charities including acting as spokesman for World Vision.
Trebek also operates Creston Farms in California where he breeds thoroughbred horses.
Appearing in over 70 movies and televion shows, he typically acts as himself!
Trebek has also won two Emmy awards and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In 1998, Trebek became a citizen of United States but he still remains in the hearts of Canadians.
