I am often asked why I dropped the second "e" in the word "heroes"?
When I was looking for a domain name, I tried to get names like "Canadian Heroes", "Canada Heroes", etc. but I found the names I really wanted
were already registered and owned by other individuals or companies. At the time, there was even a company in Australia which had the rights to many
names using the words "Canadian" or "Canada".
I couldn't afford the fees they wanted for buying the right to the names, so I came up with the idea of dropping the extra "e" in "heroes" and using the name Canada hyphen Heros.
I was quite certain this name was not registered by anyone else. I hoped over time, when people came to my site, they would "learn" to drop the second "e" in searching
for my site. As a matter of fact, it turns out "heros" is the French-Canadian word for "hero"! Coincidental, my personal fate is such that I never met any of my
grandparents, however, I am told my maternal grandmother was from the Province of Quebec! And now you know the rest of the story ...
